Goodbye Arthur C. Clarke

Sir Arthur Charles Clarke who is most famous for his co-authorship of 2001: A Space Odyssey and the “C” in Jaqui’s beloved “Sci-Fi ABCD”,
sadly departed yesterday after 90 orbits.
In addition to his many great books and a lot other things, he was the first one who suggested the geostationary orbit in 1945.
Which is therefore also known as the Clarke Orbit.

I… am… just… speechless…

ich weiss, dass alle irgendwann weggehen werden… aber… warum Leute wie Arthur Clarke, Isaac Asimov, Phillip K. Dick???

von meinen ABCD-Helden bleibt nur Ray Bradbury am Leben… it’s not fair!!

Manche Leute sollten für immer und immer und immer leben!! - hmm, ok, alle sollen auch irgendwann “have a rest”… aber wenigstens sollten sie nicht sterben, während ich noch am Leben bin…
