Sir Arthur Charles Clarke who is most famous for his co-authorship of 2001: A Space Odyssey and the “C” in Jaqui’s beloved “Sci-Fi ABCD”,
sadly departed yesterday after 90 orbits.
In addition to his many great books and a lot other things, he was the first one who suggested the geostationary orbit in 1945.
Which is therefore also known as the Clarke Orbit.
